We are happy to be back at our club with new courts.
The list below outlines the club's expectations of members when using the courts.
If everyone follows the above expectations then the courts will stay in great condition and last a very long time.
The Hampton Park Tennis Club turned 60 in 2022, but the Hampton Park courts and tennis go back even further than 1962!!
In the 1940s, Robert Booth and his family owned the ground where the tennis, football, cricket, and netball clubs all currently play.
Later that decade, The Hampton Park Progress Association purchased the land for the people of Hampton Park.
The ground was then transformed by Mr. Arthur Wren who borrowed his friend's Fordson grader to level out the first court.
Several families from the local dance community then played and formed the Hampton Park Younger Set Tennis Club.
In 1962, Hampton Park Tennis Club was formed and originally played on the 3 gravel courts! Over the years we expanded by adding 3 additional courts for a total of 6 classic clay courts, installing lights to 4 courts, extending our clubhouse, and building a storage shed.
Currently, we offer weekend WDTA competitions, Wednesday night social competition, and professional coaching to all standards of tennis.
